Hannah Jacobi is a freelance art historian and writer. She is currently preparing a comprehensive, research-based monograph and a series of exhibitions on conceptual tendencies in contemporary art in Iran. In 2017, she published a collection of interviews entitled Stimmen aus Teheran. Interviews zur zeitgenössischen Kunst im Iran (Voices from Tehran. Interviews on Contemporary Art in Iran, Edition Faust 2017), which includes conversations with Tehran-based artists, theorists and gallery owners, interrogating modes of producing art in relation to the sociopolitical environment in Iran. Between 2011 and 2018, she has developed and organised projects at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) in Berlin, connecting theory and art. Hannah Jacobi is available for any inquiries regarding texts, research assignments or project development.
